Valuation of a Billboard Company for Litigation Support
Inglewood was engaged to prepare a valuation of this billboard company in connection with a domestic relations case, as well as to review the opposing expert's report. The opposing expert used a very convoluted valuation approach incorporating substantial deductions to value for the working capital needed to run the business. Upon detailed analysis of the opposing expert's calculations, it was discovered that, according to this expert's own calculations, the more profits the company made, the less it was worth. Conversely, and the less profits that the company made, the more it was worth. Once Inglewood pointed that out, the opposing expert's report became irrelevant and settlement discussions began in earnest.
