John Lane Named American Roll Form CEO to Lead Growth Plan
American Roll Form's board named John Lane CEO to lead the expansion plan Inglewood built after its value maximization work.
The board of directors of American Roll Form has asked John Lane to step in as Chief Executive Officer as the company enters a period of geographic expansion and significant growth. Lane takes on the American Roll Form CEO role while continuing to serve as a senior partner at Inglewood.
How the engagement started
American Roll Form's board hired Inglewood in early 2012 to analyze the company's strategic options in light of a changing global business climate. The focus of the engagement was a Value Maximization Assessment to prepare for either a possible sale or a growth strategy.
Inglewood's recommendations touched every area of the business. They included operational improvements to reduce scrap levels and increase output, changes to the management structure, a sharpened marketing direction, and upgrades to information systems. The team also valued the business and set the strategic direction for future growth.
From plan to implementation
The board accepted those recommendations and retained Inglewood to help put the plan in place. The work has already delivered significant gains in operational efficiency and scrap reduction. The plan also calls for expanding the company's operations to Las Vegas, Nevada to support the growing solar market and population growth across the Southwest.
To lead that implementation, the board asked John Lane to provide his leadership as Chief Executive Officer, drawing on the same operating discipline Inglewood brings to interim leadership and growth advisory engagements.
