Rita Sherwood Joins Inglewood as a Senior Partner

Rita Sherwood brings 30-plus years of operations consulting experience to Inglewood, strengthening the firm's management and value-creation work.

Inglewood is pleased to announce that Rita Sherwood has joined the firm. Rita brings more than 30 years of operational experience, including as co-owner of a business, business consultant, product manager, corporate recruiter, and technical sales representative. That range gives her a rare view of how middle-market companies actually run.

Three decades of operations consulting for middle-market businesses

Rita is a seasoned consultant who has spent a large part of her career helping middle-market and family businesses improve their growth, performance, profitability, financial strength, and value. She has a track record of delivering profitable growth through operational improvements, innovative sales and marketing programs, a customer-centric focus, and organizational development.

“Rita brings great management and operational bench strength to the firm,” said John K. Lane, Inglewood’s CEO. “We see her contributing significantly to our clients in the areas of management and operations consulting, executive coaching, succession planning and exit strategy development.”

Her arrival deepens Inglewood’s capacity across the disciplines clients lean on most, from executive coaching to business succession planning and exit planning and sale preparation.

Recognized expertise in organizational effectiveness

Rita is a founding member of the Cleveland chapter of the Exit Planning Exchange. She is also a co-inventor of a method for measuring and improving organizational effectiveness, protected under US Patent 8,538,796, issued September 17, 2013.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh Swanson School of Engineering and a Master of Business Administration from Case Western Reserve University Weatherhead School of Management.
