John Lane of Inglewood has been appointed court-appointed receiver for the assets of Ladalow Enterprises, Inc., which operated as Fussy Cleaners.
Fussy Cleaners ran a chain of dry cleaning stores across Northern Ohio and was profitable until late 2007, when the company acquired a competitor and grew to 40 locations. The acquisition proved to be a poor one, and combined with the failing health of the owner, it led the company to agree to be placed in receivership.
As receiver, John Lane was appointed to oversee day-to-day operations, evaluate a proposed sale of certain operating assets, seek other potential buyers, negotiate with creditors, and wind down the remaining business. The engagement is part of Inglewood's receivership services practice.
